Apply In Person:

1. The license/permission for demolishing any building is provided by the concerned authorities in the Municipal Corporation. Contacts
2. The application form has to be obtained from the authorities in the respective district Municipal Corporation.
3. The prescribed application form for building demolition is Form BR-I.
4. The application form has to be handwritten by the person/owner/agent applying for demolition purposes.
5. The application form has to be submitted along with the required documents prescribed by the authorities.
6. Make sure that you have all the documents which are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. The fee estimation will be provided by the authorities based on the building type and its location.
8. Before the demolition, the owner has to make sure to disconnect the supplies to the building such as
   • Water Supply
   • Electricity Supply
   • Sewage Connection
9. The permit for demolition will not be granted until the owner gets a statement from the respective service connections and appurtenant equipment.
10. All the meters and regulators should be removed, sealed, and plugged in a safe manner before demolition.
11. After supervising everything the authorities will provide permission to demolish the building.

The documents that are necessary for the building demolition permission are:

• Ownership documents-lease deed/ sale deed or possession
• A site plan
• A building plan or plans along with an un-editable Compact Disc/ DVD
• Building Plan in any other electronic medium in “.DWG” format
• Specification Detail
• Structural drawings (for record)
• Fire safety design
• Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning (H.V.A.C.) service plan
• Certificate of conformity to regulation and structural safety for the relevant buildings
• Public health services plan in un-editable compact Disc/ DVD or any other electronic medium, containing drawings in “.DWG” Format
• Scrutiny fees (non–refundable)
• 1 set of copies should be laminated, and the extra copies if demanded by the authorities.
• NOC certificate from the Neighbour (if the building is Semi-Detached).
• All the copies have to be self-attested by the owner.
• A soft copy in the CAD format can also be submitted by the owner of the building.

Any individual who owns the building is eligible to seek permission for building demolition.

The fee structure for the demolition of the building is given by the respective authorities after surveying the particular building.

The building demolition permission is valid for 2 years from the date of permission granted. If the permission expired, you have to reapply again.

The buildings should be demolished in a safe environment without causing any Air Pollution and Noise Pollution.
