While renting out a property in Gujarat, one has to register the Tenant’s details with the Police for Tenant Verification.

Apply In-Person:

1. To register the Tenant’s details with the police, get the Tenant Verification form from the nearest Police Station.
2. You could download the Tenant verification form online by selecting the “Online Form” option from the Gujarat Citizen Portal or click here Application Form
3. In the procured form, fill the required details of the Landlord and the Tenant.
4. Attach a copy of the required Documents such as Id Proofs.
5. Affix the Passport size photograph in the form.
6. Duly sign the form and submit the form at the nearest Police Station.
7. You could find the locations of Gujarat Police Stations by clicking on “Know Your Police Station” from the webpage: Gujarat Citizen Portal.
8. The Police would ask the Tenant or Property Owner to visit the Police Station if any verification is necessary.
9. The Police would keep a record of the Tenant’s information and would inform the landlord if the Tenant is a criminal or a troublemaker.

1. To register the Tenant’s details online, one has to visit the Gujarat Citizen Portal
2. If you are a new user, create a new user account with your details by clicking on the Login/Registration Tab.
3. Now login with your account and select Tenant Verification.
4. In the given new window, fill the Landlord’s details.
5. Fill the required Tenant and Tenant’s Family member’s details.
6. Upload the photo and required documents of the Tenant in the required size and file format.
7. Check the details filled for any correction before you submit the form. Submitted forms cannot be altered.
