Apply via Agent
While hiring a person for Domestic help in Gujarat, one has to register the Servant’s details with the Police for Domestic help Verification.
Apply In-Person
- To register the servant’s information with the police, for Domestic Help Verification, get the Domestic Help Verification form from the nearest police station in Gujarat Gujarat Citizen Portal
- You could download the Domestic help verification form online by selecting the “Online Form” option from the Gujarat Citizen Portal or click here Application Form
- In the procured form, fill the required details of the employer.
- Provide the required details of the employee (servant) in the section provided for the same.
- Mention the employee’s friend’s or relative’s information.
- Attach a copy of the required documents such as Id Proofs and Passport size photographs.
- Duly sign the form and submit the form at the nearest Police Station.
- The Police would run a background verification and would inform the employer if the person hired is of dubious character.
Apply Online
- To register the servant’s details online, one has to visit the Gujarat Citizen Portal
- If you are a new user, create a new user account with your details by clicking on the Login/Registration Tab.
- Now login with your account and select Domestic Help Registration.
- In the given new window, fill the required details of the servant.
- Upload the scanned copies of the required documents in the specified file size and format (Check required documents section for further details).
- Check the details filled for any correction before you submit the form. Submitted forms cannot be altered.
- Your application will now be processed and the police will make verifications to create a Report.
- The details of your application will be sent to your registered mobile number or E-Mail Id.

- Aadhaar card
- Driving Licence
- Ration card
- Voter ID
- PAN Card

- Make sure you mention valid details while applying for the Verification. Your application could get cancelled if the details furnished are not valid.

Need for the Document
- While employing a person for domestic help, it is highly advisable to register their information with the Police to ensure your safety.
- When one registers such information, the police verifies the submitted information, and the employee’s details are stored with the police.
- This protects the employee from involving in any criminal activities in the near future.
- This registration also helps the police to keep the city safe from any terrorists or anti-socials who disguise themselves as servants.
- Servants have access to the employer’s most important details, and one could easily become a victim of servant crime if they do not conduct police verification before hiring them.
- Usually, in the event of a servant crime, the police would be left with zero information about the servant's details. However, the information gained through the servant registration process would help the police to track such crimes.
- It is highly necessary to do background verification of the servant even if he/she was referred by a friend or an acquaintance.
