1.) The application must be submitted to the Transport and Communications Department of applicant?s place of residence.

?2.) If the validity of the driving licence to be replaced has expired, the new licence will be delivered to the applicant following its renewal.

3.) Should the applicant hold another driving licence, issued by Greece or another EU Member State (including Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein), this must be handed over so that a new licence incorporating all vehicle categories and subcategories that he/she is authorized to drive may be issued.

?3.) Valid old ?type driving licence (if the driving licence to be replaced is no longer valid, the following documents must be presented:

• health certificates from a general practitioner and an ophthalmologist, under contract with the competent Transport and Communications Department or a Higher Medical Committee report, as appropriate (two 32-euro deposits to the special law-decree 638/1970 account at the National Bank of Greece and 4 photographs),

• a Public Revenue Office receipt for the payment of a fixed stamp duty and third party levies in the amount of 18 euros).

?4.) Two recent identity card-type photographs (coloured)

?5.) Photocopy of valid establishment or residence permit or other equivalent document, if applicant is not a Greek citizen, which must have been issued 185 days at least before the application or 95 days if applicant is a national of a EU Member State or of the states of Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein and be still valid until the day of reception of the Geek driving licence.
