Apply In-person

1. To apply in person, the applicant will have to approach the office of the Goa Water Department. Here is the contact Link
2. The applicant will be given an application form. The applicant has to give complete details in the application form.
3. Attach the documents that are needed as mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Once the applicant submits an application, it will be forwarded to the concerned authorities.
5. The applicant will have to pay fees, find fee-related information under the “Fees” section of this page.
6. Once the application has been approved, a site inspection will be conducted to check if the water comes from a safe source.
7. After approval, a digital certificate will be issued to the applicant.
8. The applicant can download this from Digi locker or collect it from the office.

Apply Online

1. Go to the official website of the Goa Water Department.
2. Here is the link to the Official website
3. If The applicant has an account, click on login and enter credentials.
4. If The applicant does not have an account follow these steps:
   • Click on “Register” in the top right corner of the page.
   • You can register with your social media accounts such as Facebook, Google, Linkedin, Twitter or Github.
   • Or you can manually enter details.
   • An OTP will be sent to your mobile number.
   • Enter OTP and click on submit.
   • Your account will be registered, now go back and log in.
5. Once logged in, click on “Apply to transport water”.
6. The applicant will be directed to a page with a form, enter all relevant details.
7. The applicant will need to attach relevant documents.
8. Agree to the rules and click on submit.
9. The applicant will receive the application number through SMS, keep this safe.
10. Once approved, an official will come to make sure your tanker and the source of water are up to standards.
11. After this, another SMS will be sent to The applicant and you will have to make a fee payment.
12. Once payment is completed, the certificate will be issued to The applicant.
13. The applicant can download the certificate from DigiLocker.

• ID and Address proof of the applicant. Valid ID proofs include Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving License, Voting card.
• Form I & XIV of the Land on which the well exists. This document is available at the Directorate of Land and Survey Records Office.
• If the applicant is not the owner of the land, then a consent / NOC / Power of Attorney from the owner / co-owner of the land along with the ID proof of the owner(s) on a stamp paper duly notarized.
• Certificate issued by the Goa State Pollution Control Board as to the fitness of the source for portable use.
• Certificate from the Director of Transport the body of water tanker transporting portable water has internal stainless steel linings OR an undertaking to ensure compliance with this requirement positively within six months period from the date of application.
• No Objection Certificate was obtained from the Directorate of Health Services on the suitability of the Tanker for carrying potable water.
