1. Fill out the renewal form.
2. Submit the renewal form along with all other required documents.
3. Pay the application fee of 10.00.
4. Various conditions will need to be met by the employer before the work permit is renewed by the Ministry.

Note: Employing a worker for whom a work permit is required without the employer having first obtained such a permit is an offence and the employer may be asked to pay a fine amounting to 1,500 - 3,000.

Individuals who are non-entitled to work in Gibraltar (for example: non-EEA nationals) will require the prospective employer to obtain a work permit before commencement of employment.

Note: Swiss nationals do not need to secure a work permit for employment in Gibraltar.

A work permit is valid for a period not exceeding 12 months.
