Apply In-Person:

1. To Renew a Contractor Practicing License in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the ministry of works and housing.
2. Contact and address details of the office can be found in the following addresses contact link
3. Visit the office and obtain an application form to renew a Contractor Practicing License from the relevant department.
4. Make sure that the applicant has all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Complete the application form with the required details and information in respective fields and sections.
6. Attest it with the applicant’s signature and attach the required documents with the completed application form.
7. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and which can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
8. Submit it to the relevant authority at the office and pay the Application and Processing fee as directed by the officials.
9. The applicant will also have to provide some information about the organization in the subsequent days, upon the demand of the Commission.
10. After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.
11. Once the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the officials will proceed to take the required steps to issue the renewed license.
12. When the license is ready to be collected, the applicant will be notified by the office and the applicant can collect it by any applicable means.

Any Contractor Practicing license holder in Ghana, whose license is about to expire can apply.

Non-refundable application processing fee: GHS 5,000.

The certificate is valid for a period of one year.

• It is important that the completed form must contain all the information required properly and the form must be filled legibly, in order to get accepted by the Authority.
• Make sure that you attach all the required documents as specified by the authority to avoid rejections.
• Relevant documents should be obtained from the appropriate embassies supporting the confirmation of foreign partners’ availability.
