Ghana - Renewal Premises License for Handling Pesticides

How to apply :

  1. Obtain the application form from any of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regional office or head office in Accra, or download it via the EPA website portal website or click the link below to download(Application form)
  2. Read through the application form carefully as it contain different section.
  3. Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents (listed below) at the EPA office for verification and processing.
  4. You will be issued with the prescribed fee invoice, visit any ECOBANK branch near you with the invoice and make the payment.
  5. If the authorized official is satisfied that all the conditions are meet as required for the application, you will be notified of the outcome and issued with the renewed licences.

  1. Download the application form via the EPA website website or click the link below to download(Application form)
  2. Scan the accurate completed duly filled form along with the supporting documents and send them to the EPA email address ccmc.dept@epa.gov.gh for verification and processing.
  3. If the authorized official is satisfied that all the conditions are meet as required for the application, you will be notified of the outcome and issued with the renewed licences upon payment of the required fees.
Note
  • All fees charged are payable at any ECOBANK Ghana Branch by presenting the invoice issued by the Agency to the bank.


Required Documents

  • Complete the pesticide annual report form (if you had not submitted pesticides annual report)
  • Copy of Employee relevant certificates
  • Evidence of payment of the prescribe fee(bank slip)
  • Copy of certificate any pesticide handling training you or your business received/attended within the past 12 months.
  • Citizens need to be in possession of a valid national identity card copy.
  • Companies need to be in possession of a valid company's registration certificate copy.
  • Copy of the initial pesticide licence
  • any other documents that may be requested by the FDA
Note :
  • When submitting any supporting documents, please label the documents as indicated in this part (e.g., Attachment A, etc.)
  • If the space provided on the application form is not sufficient, additional information required may be provided on a separate document and attached.

Need for the Document

  • There are specific requirements to be met by premises handling pesticides so as to be licensed. These are outlined under Ghana pesticide legislation, part II of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Act (Act 490)
  • No person shall use any premises, or being the owner or occupier thereof permit or allow the premises to be used, for the purposes of manufacturing, formulating, packaging, selling or storing, pest control products unless that person is in possession of a licence issued under the Regulations in respect of those premises.
  • Person/Companies that are registered with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) must renew their handling pesticide licence to keep enjoying the incentives that come with registration with EPA
