Apply In-Person:

1. Renewal of application for a Plantation Tea Grower (Factory Company) Registration is done in person by visiting the Agriculture and Food Authority Board Head Offices in Ghana.

3. Certificates issued by the Authority expire on the 30th June of every year and license holders wishing for renewal thereof may apply by 1st June preceding the expiry of the license.
4. A Plantation Tea Grower (Factory Company) Registration certificate holder shall be renewable by 30th June of every year upon payment of the renewal fees.
5. Visit the office and get a renewal application form for a Plantation Tea Grower (Factory Company) Registration certificate as applicable to the application requirement, from the respective department.
6. Make sure that his/her have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. In addition to the required documents the board will require the applicant to submit returns for the year.
8. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
9. The completed renewal application form must be submitted to the respective office.
10. This will be followed by an inspection of the applicant by the Board field Officers.
11. The Board field officers will make recommendations for the renewal of the certificate and forward their report forwarded to Board’s Headquarters for ultimate Board approval.
12. Upon successful approval by the board a list of approved/ renewed Plantation Tea Grower (Factory Company) Registration certificate is published in the Ghana gazette.
13. At this point the applicant is notified and he/she will be required to pay the respective license fees as prescribed by the board and submit the receipt as proof of payment.
14. Once the license renewal processing is done the Renewed Plantation Tea Grower (Factory Company) Registration certificate is issued to the applicant by the Managing Director of the Agriculture and Food Authority.
15. Renewal certificate takes a maximum of 30 days to process.

• Audited book of accounts and returns of the current year.

• The renewal of this registration allows a person to continue engaging in tea plantation growing of tea in Ghana.
  

• The licensing authority shall issue licenses to applicants subject to such lawful conditions as the authority may determine.
• Every license shall specify the premises upon which the business specified in the license may be carried on.
• Licenses issued shall remain in force until the thirtieth of June next following the date of issue, unless earlier canceled.
• There shall be fees payable for the issue of licenses under this Act. Such fees are as the licensing authority may prescribe.
• The total fees charged will depend on the turnover of the dealer and shall not overburden small-scale dealers and the cumulative total of all levies and fees payable shall in any event not exceed ten percent of the gate value of the agricultural or aquatic product.
