Ghana - Renew Dealers Plate License


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. To Renew Dealers Plate License in Ghana, the applicant should contact the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) in Ghana Contact Link
  2. The applicant must obtain an application form from the DVLA department.
  3. After filling all the details in the application form, the candidate should read the application form carefully.
  4. Ensure that the applicant has all the documents listed in the "Required Document" section of this page.
  5. The fees for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
  6. Submit all necessary documents along with the application form to the Secretary of the Board.
  7. Then, the authorities will carry out internal processes depending on the request of the applicant.
  8. Initially, the applicant's attached documents and application form will be checked for adequacy and correctness.
  9. Then, the Board will verify whether the dealership site complies with the relevant requirements and regulations.
  10. If found sufficient, further necessary process for grant of license shall be carried out by concerned authorities.
  11. After completion of all the processes, the applicant will be informed to collect the de-registration certificate through applicable channels.
  12. The processing time for this procedure is 30 days.

  • All Ghanaian motorists with a dealer plate licence registered by the Ghana DVLA authority can apply for this application.
