Apply In-Person:

1. Once in every year an individual or company registered under the RGD shall deliver to the Registrar for registration renewal notice in the prescribed form renewing the registration.
2. To Apply for Renew Business Name Registration Certificate, the applicant must go to the RGD office Contact link
3. Applicant must obtain the application form for Renew Business Name Registration Certificate from RGD department.
4. The applicant has to make sure that he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
5. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the applicant form while submitting it at the office.
6. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
7. Submit completed application form and all the attachments in person to the RGD office in applicant’s locality.
8. The RGD officer-in-charge shall examine, in the applicant’s presence, that his/her application form has been dully completed. Insist on this.
9. The date of collection of Registration Certificate shall be written on applicants payment receipt.
10. The RGD Office shall inform applicant in writing if there are any queries with his/her application.
11. After that, applicants have to pay the application fee.
12. After verifying the application form, the applicant will be provided with the Registration Certificate.
13. With the fee receipt, the certificate card must be printed in the Printing office.
14. The processing time for this procedure takes 2-3 weeks.

• Once in every year an individual or company registered under this Act shall deliver to the Registrar for registration a renewal notice in the prescribed form renewing the registration. (2) Without prejudice to any other liability prescribed by this Act, any registration which is not renewed in accordance with this section shall be deemed to have lapsed and the Registrar may remove from the register the business name.

• Applicant need to register a business name if applicants conduct business under a name other than his/her own. When applicants register a business name, applicants register it nationally. This means applicant can operate his/her business in any state or territory in West Africa.
