Customer’s subscribers with Electricity Company of Ghana ltd (ECG) upon receiving monthly electricity bill for service rendered by the company are required to pay for their electricity bill in time through the following methods of payment.

How to Apply :
In-Person Application:
Cash Payment:

• Subscribers of Electricity Company of Ghana ltd (ECG) can make cash payments at private vending station (PDS’) authorized pay points which are located within official premises or at any ECG branch offices near you at the paying counters clearly marked CASHIER.

Bank Payments:

• you can pay your electricity bill at any branch of the following banks countrywide (list below),visit any of the bank branches and make payment, ECD account number can be obtain from the banks.

(Fidelity Bank, Barclays Bank, Zenith Bank, Standard Chartered, Eco bank, Universal Merchant Bank,Calbank ,Capital Bank, Royal Bank, Energy Bank, UT Bank, HFC,SG-SSB,ARB APEX Bank, Zenith Bank, Sahel Sahara, National Investment Bank ,Bank Of Africa ,Sahel Sahara, GT Bank, UNIBANK Fidelity Bank, First Atlantic Bank, Prudential Bank, ADB)
Cheque Payments:

• Cheques may be deposited at specific business premises appointed by PDS to serve as drop-off points.

Pre- paid top-up method :

• Subscribers of Electricity Company of Ghana ltd (ECG) can buy prepaid credits/token at any of ECG offices or accredited private vending station.

Mobile app:

1. Download E-PREPAID APP from the Google Play Store for (android phone)or Apple store for (I phone) and sign up if you do not have an account. Login if you already have an account.
2. Enter their 8 or 9-digit meter number, then entry the token amount you wish to purchase and the name registered to the smart meter.
3. Make payment through MTN mobile money, you will receive an SMS with recharge electricity token digits instantly, inset the digits to your pre-pay device.

Abroad application :
Online application:

1. Download the Beam Appfrom the Google Play Store and sign up if you do not have an account. Login if you already have an account.
2. You will then be redirected to the next page, you will see the dashboard with an overview of all services we offer. Choose “Utility Bills”.
3. Choose Electricity Company of Ghana ltd (ECG) by clicking on the ECG icon.
4. Enter the 13-digit account number associated with the bill. If you do not know that number, just skip that part a Beam agent will get in-touch with the receiver in Ghana and obtain the information.
5. Enter the amount you’d like to pay, please note this should be in Ghana Cedis, an addition service fees will be charged. The Total Cost in USD will show on the bottom of the page.
6. Enter the details of the recipient in Ghana (i.e. Name/contact/ email address details).
7. The next page will display a summary of your payment, verify if all the information are in order.
8. The next step is making payment, click on “Pay”, payment dashboard window will be displayed enter your credit or debit card details. You can pay with an international debit or credit card. (I.e. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club).
9. Once the payment is done, you will be contact by a Beam agent, through your preferred contact method, which can be either WhatsApp, email, SMS or phone.
10. You and the recipient will receive a copy of the receipt, within 24 hours of making payment.
