Apply In-Person:

1. To Obtain a Recruitment permit of Migrant Workers in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the ministry of works and housing. contact link
2. Visit the office and get an Application for Registration as a Contractor Form from the relevant department.
3. Make sure that the applicant has all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
4. Complete the form as required with relevant details under the respective sections. After completing the application form, attest it with the applicant’s signature.
5. Attach all the documents with the completed form and submit it to the relevant authority at the office.
6. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
7. Also, pay the prescribed fees for the application process as directed at a designated bank and submit the proof of payment at the office.
8. After submission of application and successful payment, the completed form and corresponding documents will be put into further verification processes.
9. Once all the necessary internal processes get over and the permit is ready for issuance, the applicant will be notified by applicable means regarding the collection of the permit.
10. He/she can also contact the office of MWH regarding the application progress.
11. The Processing time for this procedure is 1 month.

• Application form
• A copy of the partnership deed or the memorandum and articles of association duly registered with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau.
• Documentary evidence to show that the company has a minimum authorized capital of ten million Ghana shillings.
• In case of a partnership, verified income tax returns for the past one year and an account showing a maintaining balance of not less than ten million Ghana shillings.
• In the case of a newly incorporated company, that the company has an account showing a maintaining balance of not less than ten million Ghana shillings.
• For an existing company, a verified financial statement, income tax returns for the preceding two years and an account showing a maintaining balance of not less than ten million Ghana shillings.
• Must provide verified financial statement, income tax returns for the preceding two years.
• Must provide the CVs of directors, board members and officers working in the company or partnership.
• Must submit proof of publication of notice in the newspapers of the application with the names of the partners, in cooperators and officers.
• Proof of fees payment
• Certification from per-employment services of the Administration on the existence of new markets.
  • Standard or master employment contract.
  • Special power of attorney/service agreement.
  • Manpower request from indicating skills, wages and the number of workers needed.
  • Other documents which the Administration may find necessary.
  • The employment contract (EC).

• It must possess an Incorporate Certificate and Memorandum and article of Association.
• It must have registered for Value Added Tax.

• No permit shall be transferred, conveyed or indirectly used by any person, partnership or company other than the one in whose favor it was issued.
