Apply In-Person:

1. To Obtain Night Club/Dance Hall Trading License in Ghana, the applicant has to make an application to the International Trade Administration office.

3. Visit the office of International Trade Administration with an application letter for the grant of a license to carry on the business of a Trade License in Ghana.
4. The application should be addressed to the International Trade Administration office in Ghana.
5. Also, make sure that the applicant has all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
6. Attach all the documents with the application letter and submit it to the Director of International Trade Administration.
7. A fee for this procedure is has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
8. Submit the completed form in two copies along with the supporting documents to the respective office.
9. This application will be processed and the information will be verified by the TRADE.
10. The next step is the inspector officer from the Authority to inspect the Night club/Dance Hall before the permit is approved.
11. The Processing time for this procedure is 30 days.

• Any person of 18 years carrying out business in Municipality/Division/Town/City/Kampala City Council Authority’s jurisdiction except those who are exempted under Section 8(2) of the Trade Licensing Act are eligible to obtain Trading license to operate a night Club /disco dance hall.

• A fee for this procedure is has to be paid as per the authority’s request.

• License is valid for 1 financial year or as notified on the license.

• The trade license ensures that the applicant bar and restaurant follow all the protocols laid down by the TRADE department. It also rules out the possibility of health hazards at his/her establishment.

• The license does not allow the holder to any other trade or business than for it is issued
• Please follow government’s announcement to avoid un-necessary actions for not following the policy.
