Apply In-Person:

1. To Get Permission for Chop Bars in Ghana, the applicant must go to the Ada East District Assembly (AEDA) office or Food and drugs authority (FDA). contact link or Contact link
2. Applicants should obtain the required application form from the authority.
3. Applicant must be filled all information in the application form.
4. After completed this application form as a Word document then submit printed version of the completed form along with the copies of the supporting documents to the authority.
5. Make sure that his/her have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. A fee for this procedure is has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
7. The authority will dispatch an inspector to the facility premises for inspection to determine if Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Storage Practice (GSP) during storage and dispatch of product that quality control, and quality assurance of the products is practise.
8. A copy of the report finding will be given to the applicant and if any modification or upgrading is required, Corrective Action and Preventive Action Report (CAPA) report will be issued and the applicant will be required rectify the problem.
9. Upon successful implementation of the CAPA, a follow-up inspection may be conducted by the inspection team to ascertain the effectiveness of the implementation.
10. If the Expert committee formed by the authority are satisfied that all the conditions are meet as required for the application, the applicant will be notified of the outcome and issued with the licence by the register/authorized official.
11. Generally, the processing time for this procedure takes 1 month.
