Apply In-Person:

1. To Get Permission for Cattle Pounds in Ghana, the applicant must go to the Ada East District Assembly (AEDA) office or Ghana Veterinary Service offices. contact link or Contact link
2. Applicant must obtain the application form from the relevant department.
3. Every application for a Cattle Pounds under this rule shall be in writing and shall contain such particulars as the commissioner may require.
4. The applicant should create a schedule to make sure all requirements are met within the specified time frames.
5. Please make sure applicant have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
6. Please make sure applicant have the pay the fees that are listed down the “fees” section of this page.
7. Submit the completed form in two copies along with the supporting documents to the respective office.
8. This application will be processed and information will be verified by the MOFA office.
9. If all the above mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the application form will be viewed by concerned authorities and the applicant will be notified regarding their license.
10. The applicant after seeing the notification can go to the NPA office and applicant get the certificate.
11. The Processing time for this procedure is 2 to 3 days.

• Applicant should prove that he or she has resources and experience to engage satisfactorily in the business of a cattle trade.

• Proof that the applicant has never been convicted of an offense.

• The Cattle Pounds registration certificate grants permission to transport live Cattle Pounds and Cattle Pounds products across sub-counties and districts. The permit is issued by the district veterinary officers to confirm that the Cattle Pounds are not stolen and that they are in good health.
