Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Northern Scholarship in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the registrar of applicant’s institution/university or GNSS. contact link
2. Then, the applicants can get their application form.
3. Applicant has to enter all information in the application form.
4. Applicant must make sure to carry all necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page. (Both photocopies and originals)
5. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents along with the applicant from while submitting it at the office.
6. A fee for this national identity card is Free of charges.
7. If all above mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the application form will be viewed by concerned authorities and the applicant will be notified regarding their Scholarship.
8. The processing time for this procedure is 30 working days.

Northern scholarships provide an opportunity for northern people to earn an education.

We, the undersigned accepted to re-pay the total amount spent by government of Ghana on the applicant plus, 30% interest or the going commercial rate whichever is higher if applicant through misconduct, omission or commission, is not able to successfully complete the course which he/she has been granted a scholarship.

Please explain what other uses of obtaining this document/certificate.
e.g. Birth Certificate can be used as proof of identity.
