Ghana - Apply for Video Shows License


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for Video Shows License in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the National Film Authority office.
  2. Address and contact details can be found in the following contact link
  3. Information related to the AMA office and License authority can be obtained from the “Office locations and contacts” section of this page.
  4. Applicant must be obtained the application form from NFA office.
  5. Applicant has to enter all the information in the application form.
  6. The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
  7. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
  8. The completed application form must submit to the respective office.
  9. The National film authority office will check your application, if all information and documents valid, the license is issued the applicant.
  10. The application forms will takes within 28 working days.





Required Documents

  • The Application Form fully Completed (application form)
  • Certificate of the video apparatus and plant, electric installation, fire fighting appliances and the fire precautionary measures.
  • Building Plan approval from Directorate of Town and Country Planning / Ghana Metropolitan Development Authority (as applicable)
  • Copy of NOC received for Approval of Location of Permanent Cinemas under the Ghana Cinemas (Regulation) Rules from District Collector
  • Copy of previous Form License in case of renewal
  • Copy of GST return last filed
  • Structural Soundness Certificate issued by Executive Engineer, Public Works Department
  • Affidavit regarding ownership of property and the Theatre
  • Sanitary Certificates from Health Department.
  • Certificate of Exhibition of Approved films from Film Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Gov., of Ghana.
  • Insurance Document: Evidence of having insured the cinema building, machinery, audience, etc., against fire hazards.
  • NOC from Fire and Rescue Department.
  • Copy of the sale deed in case of own premises
  • Encumbrance Certificate
  • If leased land, copy of the registered Lease deed.
  • Declaration
