Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for International Student Identity Card in Ghana, the applicant has to approach thestudent and youth travel organization. contact link

3. As a student, Parent, or Guardian of a student, visit the administration office of your education institution i.e. a secondary, post-secondary, tertiary institution, or any other institution approved for free travel, and obtain the application form for applying for a student ID for free travel.
4. Read and complete the application form correctly and attach all the documents requested to complete the application dossier.
5. The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
6. A fee has to be paid as per the authority's request.
7. Then go to the administration office of the learning institution and pay the requisite fee of the application at the cashier’s department.
8. Upon payment of the fee, submit the application dossier to the administration office and the administrator will verify the application dossier to check if it is complete as required.
9. Then the application dossier will be forward to the ISIC for processing.
10. The ISIC will evaluate the application and if it meets the required merits for approval, the application will be approved processing.
11. After the approval, the Student Identity Card for free travel will be processed and sent to the learning institution.
12. Then the administration office will issue the Student Identity Card for free travel to the applicant.
13. The processing time for this procedure is 90 days.
