Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Scrap Dealers License in Ghana, the applicant must go to the Ada East District Assembly (AEDA) office.

3. An application form was provided to the applicant by the authorized officer.
4. Applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form.
5. Applicant must make sure to carry all necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. A fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
7. Submit the completed application form and pay the required application fee and submit the receipt as proof of payment.
8. After submitting the applications, the officer advices to pay the appropriate fees for the license.
9. On completion of this process, the Authority will notify the applicant on any outstanding issues 14 working days after lodging an application and if there are no issues, the Authority will issue to the applicant a license within 25 working days.
10. Generally, the processing time for this procedure is 25 working days.

• Manufacturing License if you intend to import weights & measures from outside the State.

• Trade License from respective ADC in case of Non-Tribal as per area requirement.
• Authenticated document regarding Proprietorship
• Premises - ownership documents/ registered rent or leave license agreement or lease agreement NOC from the owner / NOC of the member if the premise is owned by family member.
• Machinery, tools and equipment list
• PAN card
• Self-declaration about whether the Applicant has violated any of the provisions of Legal Metrology Act, 2009 or rules made there under.
• Latest electricity bill.
• A declaration by persons authorized as prescribed to accompany the application form

• A license is only be granted if the applicant meets and continues to meet such minimum financial and other requirements as may be prescribed by the Authority.
• The Authority may grant a license to such conditions or restrictions as it thinks fit and the Authority may, at any time by written notice to a license holder, vary any condition or restriction or impose further conditions or restrictions.
