Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Renewal of Money Lending Licence in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the Bank of Ghana. Contact link
2. Application form for renewal of banking business license is available in Bank of Ghana.
3. Applicant should obtain the application form from BOG
4. The applicant should enter all the details in the application form.
5. Information related to the BOG office and License authority can be obtained from the “Office locations and contacts” section of this page.
6. The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
7. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
8. The completed application should be submit to the respective office.
9. After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.
10. Once the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the officials will proceed to take required steps for renewal of the license.
11. When the document is ready to be collected, the applicant will be notified by the office and the applicant can collect it by any applicable means.
12. The processing time for this procedure takes one month.

• Non-refundable renewal licensing fee: GH¢ 5,00.00

• Money lending license validity is 18 months.
