Apply In-Person:

1. Application form for Phytosanitary Certificates is available in the Ghana plant protection and regulatory services directorate (PPRSD) contact link.
2. An applicant has to approach the plant protection and regulatory services directorate (PPRSD) and the applicants can get their application form for Phytosanitary Certificate.
3. Applicant has to enter all information in the application form.
4. Make sure that his/her have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Please refer to the fees details in the “Fees” section of this page.
6. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the applicant from while submitting it at the office.
7. If all above mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the application form will be viewed by concerned authorities and the applicant will be notified regarding their certificate.
8. They can visit the office and get their certificate after getting that notification.

• Registered exporter or importers is eligible.
• Applicant must be a Ghana citizen.

• Federal phytosanitary certificate of a commercial shipment fees- $ 50.00
• Federal phytosanitary certificate of a non- commercial fees-$20.00

• Once issued, a phytosanitary certificate does not expire and may be replaced after the 30-day mark if changes need to be made.

• Phytosanitary certificates are issued to indicate that consignments of plants, plant products or other regulated articles meet specified Phytosanitary import requirements and are in conformity with the certifying statement of the appropriate model certificate.

• A phytosanitary certificate is an official document that verifies a commodity has been inspected by an authorized official and found to be relatively free of pests and Pathogens.
