Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Palm Wine Seller license in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the ADA East District Assembly link
2. Applicant should obtain the application form from the AEDA office.
3. Applicant has to enter all the information in the application form.
4. Applicant must make sure to carry all the necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
6. Complete the application form. Attach all the mandatory documents as per their required document section. Submit this set to the receiving authority along with applicable fees.
7. Applicant must mention about the type of license required.

9. Submitted application will be verified by the authorities. If all are in place and then, the submitted application will be accepted.
10. If required the authority may ask for additional details.
11. Applicant will be provided with receipt for submission of application. Please keep it safe for future reference. The authorities will inform about the successive steps.
12. This application will be processed further by the department.
13. Applicant gets intimation from the department about the application progress. Follow the notification.
14. There will be inspection cum verification process from the department authorities/respective police department / police station on a scheduled date.
15. The premises will be inspected by the concerned authorities and documents in original will be verified and security deposit if applicable will be advised to pay.
16. This application along with inspection/verification report will be submitted to the issuing authority concerned.
17. Based on the advice and report the rest of the process will be completed.
18. Post verification, a notice shall be posted by the concerned state authority on the applicant’s personal or business address, declaring his/her name and the license details.
19. The notice so displayed shall be open for any objections raised by the local people, which will be communicated to the concerned department.
20. In case an objection is raised, the applicant will be given a right to defend themselves. In case, no objections are raised, the authority will review the application and grant the Liquor License to the applicant.
21. Generally, the processing time for this procedure is 6 working days.
