Apply In-Person:
- To Apply for Driving school Licence, the applicant should contact the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority Head Office.

- Applicant has to approach the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority Head Office in Ghana and the, the applicant can get their application form.
- Applicant has to enter all the information in the application form.
- Applicant must make sure to carry all the necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page. (Both photocopies and originals)
- Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
- Submit the completed form together with all the required documents to the Accreditation Committee.
- This application will be processed and information will be verified by the authority.
- If the verification is successful, the notification will be sent to the applicant.
- After getting the notification from concerned authorities, applicant can visit the office to collect their document.
- If there is no information regarding the application, then, the applicant can visit the office to know status of the application.
- The processing time for this procedure is 5 days.
Required Documents
- Application form
- A minimum of two instruction motor vehicles in good mechanical condition with dual brakes and dual clutches for manual cars marked with the name of the driving school, training materials and a valid trading license.
- Certificate of incorporation, Copies of memorandum and articles of association.
- Proof of ownership of land or tenancy agreement for the training ground.
- Qualified instructors.

Need for the Document
- The Ghana Government has framed certain rules with regard to the establishment of driving schools, the requirements to be fulfilled by such licensees, authority competent to grant, renew, and suspend/revoke such licenses and all other related matters.
- Every driving school has to get a license from the concerned licensing authority and a duty is cast upon them to produce “quality drivers” for which quality training is absolutely necessary.
- Where a license issued under these Regulations is misplaced or lost, the Director of Transport shall upon presentation of proof of ownership of the misplaced or lost license and a police report confirming the loss or misplacement, issue a license.
