Application for registering divorce can be made at the Public Service Development Agency or Public Service Hall. Following listed are some of the options through which registering a divorce can be done.

Divorce on the basis of joint application of spouses :

• Divorce is registered upon the expiry of five business days of submission of application.
  
  

Divorce when a spouse is declared missing or incapable :

• If a guardian of the spouse who was declared incapable is in Georgia, the term of registration is up to one month.
• If a guardian of the spouse who was declared incapable is outside Georgia, the term of registration must not exceed six months.
  
  

Divorce when a spouse is a convict (and sentenced to at least three years in prison) :

• If a convict serves his/her sentence in Georgia, the term of registration is up to one month.
• If a convict serves his/her sentence outside Georgia, the term of divorce registration is up to six months.

• Power of attorney (duly certified).
• Document certifying the identity of representative (ID card or passport).
