Apply In-Person

1. To apply for a Phytosanitary certificate, Applicant shall approach the Plant Protection Services, Department of Agriculture. Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section
2. You have to submit an application request to the Plant Protection Services.
3. The application request shall include the information listed below under the “required information” section.
4. Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the “Required documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant shall send the application request and Documents to Plant Protection Services, Department of Agriculture.
6. After the application request is processed and accepted, an inspection is scheduled by Plant Protection Services, Department of Agriculture.
7. Once the inspection yields satisfactory results, the applicant has to pay the prescribed fee and collect the Phytosanitary Certificate.

Charges for inspection of consignments is 1,500 GMD
for 20 ft. container, 2,250 GMD
for 40 ft. container and 1,125 GMD
for < 20 ft. container.

The Certificate is valid per shipment or consignment. A new shipment requires a new Phytosanitary Certificate
