1.The applicant starts with locating the nearest Gabon Poste office branch in his / her area.

2.When the nearest Poste office branch is found, the applicant is argued to visit the office to find out the requirements for obtaining a rental box;

3.Thereafter, the applicant prepares all the documents required and make copies of the same;

4.Then he / she submits the documents to the identified office to apply for a rental box;

5.The documents are reviewed and if approved, the applicant is required to make any necessary payments at this stage; and

6.A box is thereafter assigned to him / her and the key for the box is also issued to him / her;

A Rental Box is also known as a post or letter box. It is a box through which the owner receives correspondences like letters, documents, goods, packages and parcels. The Gabon Poste under the Ministre de lEconomie Numrique, de la Communication et de la Poste is the company with the responsibility of managing all postal services in Gabon.

• A mail addressed to a different person found in a rental box but unknown to the owner of box should not be take or destroyed as it could have been wrongly addressed therefore the applicant is argued to take it to the post office authorities for them to identify the owner;
• Owners of rental boxes if issued, should not misuse the box for instance by storing in personal property;

• A rental box provides an address for the holder;
• It is used as a form of communication
• Government collects revenue through taxation
