1. Go to a police department to apply for a gas spray permit.
2. Present a proof of identity (passport or ID), reasons or purpose of the application (in writing) and other application-specific appendices.
3. When applying for the purpose of protection of your own or somebody elses personal integrity or property, you must demonstrate that the spray is necessary for the protection of personal integrity by providing a certificate issued by your employer as an example.
4. Complete an application form.
5. Pay the fee.

• An association or foundation may issue a gas spray to an employee for the purpose of carrying it when on duty.
• The firearms officer of an association or foundation must instruct the employee on how to use the gas spray.
• The police have the right to set conditions for carrying of gas sprays.
• The police may allow an application to be submitted by mail or other means, subject to the requirements prescribed by law.

The gas spray permit entitles a person to acquire and possess a gas spray. The police may grant a gas spray permit to a natural person, foundation or association.

• for training purposes, or for a demonstration, filming or other similar presentation.
