Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for Revalidation of Class 1 and Class 2 Pilot License, the applicant must visit the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF).Contacts Link
2. The applicant must submit written application to the Chief Executive Officer in MSAF.
3. The revalidation application will be verified by the CEO in MSAF office.
4. If the applicant fulfils the complete requirements of the revalidation regulations, then the CEO will approve the application.
5. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section.
6. The processing time for this procedure will be intimated by the authorities in the MSAF office.

• The applicant should have piloted a minimum of 50 ships within a period of 24 months during the validity of his or her licence and provides evidence to that.
• The applicant should not be piloting a ship but has been in command of a ship within the two-year period preceding the application.
• The applicant should have piloted a ship in the capacity of his or her licence at least on three occasions under the supervision of a Class I pilot and produces evidence to that effect.
• The applicant should have a valid Certificate of Medical Fitness.

The validity of the revalidated license will be printed in the License card issued to the applicant.
