Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for the vehicle suspension/cancellation/suspension, the applicant must visit the Land Transport Authority (LTA) Fiji. Contacts
2. The Application form must be obtained from the authorities in the LTA office, else it can be downloaded from the website. Application Form
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The application form must be filled with necessary details, and then along with the required documents it should be submitted to the Customer Service Officer – CSO in the LTA office.
5. The application will be forwarded to the Team Leader, and it will be verified again.
6. After the verification, the applicant must surrender the numberplates to the CSO in LTA office.
7. Finally, Cancellation/Suspension certificate will be issued to the applicant.
8. The details of the suspension or the cancelation will be updated in the LTA system.
9. The processing time will be intimated while applying in the LTA office.

Note:

• If vehicle has to be taken abroad, then the;
  • Financial Interest must be cleared. (If the vehicle has Financial Interest)
  • Defects has to be cleared. (If applicable)
  • Owner need to clear all the convicted TINs. (If applicable)
  • Arrears of vehicle registration must be cleared. (If any)
• If vehicle is written off in accident/ or not in a usable condition:
  • Technical report should be provided by the Vehicle Examiner.

The applicant can cancel or suspend the vehicle registration in two conditions;

• If the applicant is trying to take the vehicle abroad.
• If the vehicle is not road worthy and will not be used on the road anymore.
