Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for the transition of permit, the applicant must visit the Land Transport Authority (LTA) Fiji. Contacts
2. The “Application for Conversion of Tenure of Permits” form must be obtained from the authorities in the LTA office, else it can be downloaded from the website. Application Form
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The application form must be filled with necessary details, and then along with the required documents it should be submitted to the Customer Service Officer – CSO in the LTA office.
5. After verifying the application form, the CSO will extend the tenure of the permit.
6. There is no fee for converting the tenure period of the permit.
7. The processing time for transferring the ownership of the vehicle will be intimated while applying in the LTA office.

The existing public service permit holders of the vehicles such as Taxi, Rental, Hire, Minibus, LC, RCL, RRL are eligible to apply for the conversion of the tenure period of the permit.

There is no fee for this procedure.

• Road Route License Permit is valid for 15 years.
• Road Contract License Permit is valid for 10 years.
• All other permits are valid for 10 years.

If the applicant wants to extend the permit duration, then they must require this application to file in the Fiji LTA office.

This conversion of tenure of permits came into existence since October 2017.
