Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Ship Dispensation, the applicant must visit the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF). Contact Link
2. The application form must be obtained from the authorities in the MSAF office, or else it can be downloaded from the website. Application Form
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The application form should be filled with necessary details, and along with the required documents it should be submitted to the Manager Qualifications & Licensing / Senior Examiner (Deck/Engineer) of MSAF Fiji.
5. The respective authorities will verify the application, and all the documents will be review and inspected by the authorities.
6. After complete verification, the applicant will receive the approval for Ship Dispensation certificate.
7. The fee for the Dispensation process will be intimated to the applicant while applying.
8. The processing time for this procedure will be intimated by the authorities in the MSAF office.

The owners/agents of the Ship are eligible to apply for the Dispensation approval Certificate.

The fee details for the Dispensation Certificate will be intimated to the applicant while applying.

The validity period of the Dispensation will be mentioned in the Certificate issued to the applicant.
