Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for Safe Mining Certificate, the applicant must visit the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF). Contacts Link
2. The application form must be obtained from the authorities in the MSAF office, or else it can be downloaded from the website. Application Form
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section.
4. The application form should be filled with necessary details, and then it should be submitted to the CEO – Chief Executive Officer in the MSAF.
5. The CEO in the MSAF office will verify the application form and then will issue the Certificate of Safe Mining Certificate to the applicant.
6. The complete fee structure for this procedure is given in the “Fees” section below.
7. The processing time for this procedure will be intimated by the authorities in the MSAF office.

• The validity of the Safe Mining Certificate will be mentioned in the Certificate issued to the applicant.

• A certificate of Safe Mining verifies that the applicant has the ability to perform risky tasks safely in the Mining areas.
