Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for Route Permit CL, the applicant must visit the Land Transport Authority (LTA) Fiji. Contacts
2. The “Application for Road Permit (Carrier License)” form must be obtained from the authorities in the LTA office, else it can be downloaded from the website. Application Form
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The application form must be filled with necessary details, and then along with the required documents it should be submitted to the Chief Executive Officer in the LTA office.
5. After verifying the application form, the application details will be updated in the LTA office system.
6. Then the Chief Executive officer will approve the Road Permit application.
7. The fee and the processing time for this procedure will be intimated to the applicant while making the application in the Fiji LTA office.

• If applicant possess a carrier a minimum balance of $6050.00 to be shown, without a vehicle a balance of $10,000.00 should be shown.

• To apply for the Road Permit CL, the applicant must own a Carrier Vehicle.
• The Road Permit is a compulsory procedure, driving a vehicle without the road permit is illegal in Fiji.
  

The application fee and the permit fee will be intimated to the applicant while applying in the Fiji LTA office by the authorities.

• The validity of the Road Permit will be mentioned by the authorities in the Road Permit Approval form.
• The applicant must renew at least 28 days before the expiry date of the permit.

• In order drive the registered vehicle (especially Carrier Vehicle) in the road on certain routes, the applicant should get the road permit beforehand.
• It is illegal to drive on the road without the road permit issued by the authorities in the Fiji LTA office.
  

Driving in the road without the road permit will lead to legal actions on the owner as well as the driver of the vehicle.

The road permit is the primary document of the carrier vehicle that is asked for any kind of verification in the road made by the transport authorities.
