Apply In-Person:

1. Temporary Registration of a Foreign Veterinary Surgeon, the applicant has to approach Ethiopian Veterinary Association contact link
2. Applicant has to get the application form from the respective office.
3. Applicant must provide all necessary information in the application form.
4. Make sure you have all the documents mentioned in “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant has to attach the photocopies along with the application form.
6. Submit the application form to the relevant office.
7. Proceed the appropriate fee and submit the payment receipt to the officer with the form.
8. On Completion of this process, the applicant will receive the written confirmation within seven (7) days after the Board's approval, and the temporary registration certificate was given.
9. A foreign veterinary surgeon may practice if he/she is issued with an annual practicing license.
   

For one to be registered as a Temporary Foreign Veterinary Surgeon, the following requirements must be met: -

• Academic certificates (Not result slip)
• Professional certificates
• National Identity Card/Passport
• Passport size photograph
• Registration document from professional association.
• Prescribed fee
• Completed form

A foreigner who is qualified as a veterinary surgeon in their home country and wishes to practice in Ethiopia with volunteer non-profit organizations recognized by the Ethiopia Veterinary Association, which provide veterinary services in underserved areas or go into private practice.

Fee for this procedure as per the authority request.

The validity is forever, however one has to renew the practice license fees annually.
