Apply In-Person:

1. Application has to be submitted in form of a hand-written letter for suspension or cancelation of a Forex Bureau License at National Bank of Ethiopia contact link
2. Applicant should provide necessary details in the application form and mentioned the reason for suspension or cancellation of the Forex Bureau License.
3. After application is approved, an enquiry will be done at the Forex Burea contact link
4. Applicant must carry all related documents which are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page (both photocopies and originals).
5. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form.
6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.
7. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents along with the application form while submitting.
8. If all the above-mentioned procedures were followed properly, the procedure will be completed within a week.

This document is necessary to make sure that a particular company is forbidden or closed to undergo any activities related to transactions.

The National Bank of Ethiopia holds the right to cancel or suspend a Forex Bureau License of companies in Ethiopia.
