Apply In-Person:

1. Application form for renewal of money remittance license in Ethiopia is available in the National Bank of Ethiopia contact link
2. Applicant must carry all related documents which are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page (both photocopies and originals).
3. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form.
4. Fee for this procedure is 1,000 Birr for application and 2,000 Birr for undergoing processes of registration.
5. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents along with the application form while submitting.
6. If all the above-mentioned procedures were followed properly, the procedure will be completed within 21 days by visiting the office or via post.

Every person who owns a money remittance license must renew the license every year.

The National Bank of Ethiopia holds the right to renew a money remittance license of companies in Ethiopia.
