Apply In-Person:

1. To renew an Air Transport Training Institution, the applicant has to approach Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority contact link
2. Applicant has to get the respective form and fill the form with the required details and attested with the applicant signature.
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Applicant must have both photocopies and originals of the required documents.
5. After completion of the form then it should be submitted to the relevant authority.
6. Fee for this procedure has to paid as per the authority request.
7. Upon the successful registration, the renewal of license will be issued within 30days.
   

• Copy of Valid or Expired ATO certificate
• A statement showing that the minimum qualification requirements for each management position are met
• A description of the minimum qualifications and ratings for each instructor
• A statement acknowledging that the applicant may notify the Authority within ten working days of any change made in the assignment of persons in the required management or instructors positions
• The proposed training specifications requested by the applicant
• A description of the training equipment that the applicant proposes to use including the aircraft, the synthetic flight trainers and any special equipment used for each phase of training

• Registered ATO with an expired ATO certificate are eligible to make the application.
• Any person / organisation willing to conduct training, testing or checking in synthetic flight trainers in Ethiopia are eligible to make this application.
  

Registration fee for renewal is 1000birr.

The validity of the renewal license is about 12 months.

• State the type of service applied for (i.e. whether scheduled air service, non- scheduled air service, aerial work service, flying instructions, etc.)
• List all other air services operated by the applicant at the time of this application and give the relevant license numbers
• Enumerate particulars of working arrangements that the applicant has with any other company operating an air service
