Apply In-Person:

1. Renewal Registration of Self-Help Group / Community Projects, the applicant has to approach Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in Ethiopia contact link
2. Applicant has to get the application form to renewal from the respective office.
3. Applicant must provide all necessary information in the application form.
4. Make sure you have all the documents mentioned in “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Complete the application form and attach the required document.
6. Submit the completed application form along with the required documents to the authority.
7. Fee for this procedure has to paid as per the authority request.
8. Upon the successful registration, the renewal of license will be issued within 2days.

• Self-help group with valid license are eligible.
• A group should have at least 10 members.
• Secretary must Know how to read and write.
• Women groups are only to consist of women and vice versa for men group.
• For PWD ,70% of the group’s members should PWD.
• For Older people’s group,70% of the group’s members should be aged above 65 years.
• For youth groups ,70% of the group’s members should be aged between 18 and 35 (youths).
  

Fee for this procedure has to paid as per the authority request.

The renewal license validity is for one year.

• Organize yourselves in a group of at least 10 members
• Identify the mission, goals, and objectives of the group
• Draft the groups’ constitution
• Ensure each of the group members has a national ID
• Go to the District Gender and Social Development Office
• Submit details of your group and fill the registration form.
• Have each member pay registration fees, and pay the certificate fees
• Obtain the certificate

• The registration gives the group formal recognition and listed by in the government records.
• This allows the group to legally carry out its activities in Ethiopia.
