1. To Renew License to Practice Nursing the applicant should approach Ethiopian Nurses Association contact link1 or the applicant should also visit Ministry of Health Ethiopia contact link2
2. The authority provides an application form. The Applicant has to fill-in all the necessary details in the application form.
3. Applicant must make sure to carry documents that are listed under “Required Documents” section of this page
4. Applicant has to attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form and submit the application form
5. The submitted renewal application will be reviewed for reconsideration.
6. Upon successful review, the applicant will be awarded with a new practising license. This usually takes a period of 30 days.
7. The applicant will be notified to collect his practising license via text or phone call.
8. One is required to bring proof of identification when collecting the documents.

• All Nursing Council of Ethiopia Registration Certificates.
• National Identity Card [ID]/Alien [ID] and passport.
• Two (2) coloured passport size photographs.
• Expiring original nursing practice license.
• Evidence of having undergone 40hrs of professional training every year / CPD Log Book.

The individual should be registered with the Nursing Council of Ethiopia and a holder of a practising license.

Fee for this procedure is has to be paid as per the authority request.

The Nursing Practice license is eligible for one year.
