1. To Renew Membership with Midwives Association, applicant has to approach Ethiopian Midwives Association link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the respective officer.
3. Applicant has to fill in all necessary details in the application form.
4. Make sure the applicant has all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required document along with the application form.
6. Submit the application form along with the documents to the concerned officer.
7. After successful submission the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
8. After verification process, authority will issue the renewed membership card to the applicant in stipulated period of time.

• Validity of the renewed membership identity is for one year.

• A licensed midwives must renew their registration certificate before a month or week of expiry. Only registered midwives are eligible to provide the service in hospital for pregnant women.

• The midwife's role is to provide skilled, knowledgeable, respectful, and compassionate care for all women, new-born infants and their families. They work across the continuum from pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, labour and birth, postpartum, and the early weeks of new-born infants' life.
