Apply In-Person:

1. To Renew Insurance Business License, the applicant has to approach National Bank of Ethiopia contact link
2. Applicant has to get the form from the respective officer.
3. Applicant has to fill-in all the necessary details in the application form.
4. Make sure that the applicant has to attach the documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant has to attach the photocopies along with the application form.
6. Submit the completed form and the necessary documents to the officer.
7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as per the authority request.
8. The authority officer will review the application and process the application.
9. Once the process is completed, the renewed license is given to the applicant within the stipulated processing period of time.

• Any person or a company that holds insurance business license are eligible to renew their license before a month or week of expiry.

Fee for the procedure has to be paid as per the authority request.

• Validity of the renewed license is for 1 year.

• An insurance license is renewed after expiry or before a month or week of expiry.
• An insurance business license gives the person an authority to seek and sell insurance items. State insurance commissioner is responsible to issue the license for the purpose of seeking and selling the insurance and is isolated into various insurance types, including life and inability, health, auto or worker’s compensation. For anybody living in one state and selling insurance in neighbouring states needs a license for each particular state. You don't have to subsidise with an enlisted office to get the license, however this is required once you plan to work together.
