“Pulping station” is a coffee factory or place where coffee cherry is processed into parchment coffee

Apply In-Person:

1. To obtain a Coffee Pulping Station License in Ethiopia the person should approach Ethiopian coffee and Tea authority contact link or the applicant should contact Ministry of agriculture location link
2. There you will be issued with application for Pulping Station licence from the authority.
3. Applicant has to fill-in all the necessary details in the application form.
4. Applicant must make sure to carry documents that are listed under “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals).
5. Submit the completed application form and pay the required application fee of and submit the receipt as proof of payment.
6. This is followed by an inspection of Coffee Pulping Station by the Board field Officers.
7. The Board field officers will inspect the application make recommendations on the application and forward their report forwarded to Board’s Headquarters for the ultimate Board approval.
8. Upon a successful approval, the Applicant is notified by E-mail or SMS.
9. Once the license processing is done the coffee nursery License is issued to the applicant of license by the Managing Director of coffee and tea authority.

• Identification Cards/ Passport and PIN Number of the applicant
• A certified copy of certificate of incorporation/registration;
• A certified copy of memorandum and articles of association/ constitution
• Copy of title deed or certificate of leasehold as proof of ownership land or proprietorship and a current certificate of search or other supporting documents.
• Names and address of Directors.
• Proof of Reliable source of clean water
• Proof of a minimum of 2 acres of coffee or 20,000kgs of cherry on an average of three years.
• Proof accessibility of nursery site for inspection and materials transportation
• Any other requirements that may be prescribed by the Authority from time to time Nursery Certificate in Ethiopia

• Any cooperative society, person, group or company can apply for a Coffee pulping station license.

• Fees to be paid as per the advice of the authority officer.

• The license is valid for the period of one year.

• A Coffee Pulping Station License authorizes the holder to operate as pulping station.
• No person can operate a pulping station unless he is the holder of a current license issued in respect thereof by the Board after consultation with the Director.
