Apply In-Person:

1. To obtain a Sugar export license the applicant has to approach Ethiopian Sugar Corporation contact link
2. Application form for export sugar and its by-products will be given by the authority officer.
3. Applicant has to fill-in all the necessary details in the application form.
4. Applicant must make sure to carry documents that are listed under “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals).
5. Sugar Board officers will visit your processing premises to carry out inspections on the premises and sugar products to be exported.
6. Upon successful results from the inspection, you are required to pay the requested Export Permit fees.
7. After making the payment you will be issued with an Export Permit for sugar and its Products. This takes a processing period of 7 days.
8. Non-compliance of permit rules and regulations can lead to suspension of permit and revocation of future applications.

• An export license is a license issued by the Board to allow the holder to take or cause to be taken out of Ethiopia sugar and its by-products.
