Ethiopia - Obtain Marriage Certificate for Immigrants

Apply In Person

  1. To Obtain Marriage Certificate for Immigrants, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Justice in Ethiopia link
  2. An application from will be provided to the applicant by the respective officer.
  3. Applicant has to fill in all necessary details in the application form (Incomplete application forms are not accepted).
  4. Make sure that the applicant has all the necessary documents (photocopies and originals) that are mentioned in “Required Documents” in the section of this page.
  5. Applicant should attach the photocopies of the necessary documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit the application form to the respective officer. The authority will review the application.
  7. The applicant has to pay the registration fee of 300 birr and submit the receipt as a proof of payment.
  8. Upon the successful verification, the marriage certificate will be issued within 15 - 30days.
