Apply In-Person:

1. To obtain Commercial Coffee Marketing License in Ethiopia the person should approach Ethiopian coffee and Tea authority contact link or the applicant should contact Ministry of agriculture location link
2. There you will be issued with application form for Commercial Coffee Marketing License from the authority.
3. Applicant has to fill-in all the necessary details in the application form.
4. Applicant must make sure to carry documents that are listed under “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals).
5. Submit the completed application form and pay the required application fee of US$ 500 and submit the receipt as proof of payment.
6. The Board field officers will inspect the application make recommendations on the application and forward their report forwarded to Board’s Headquarters for the ultimate Board approval.
7. Upon a successful approval, the Applicant is notified by E-mail or SMS.
8. Once the license processing is done the coffee nursery License is issued within 90 days to the applicant by the Managing Director of coffee and tea authority.

• Identification Cards/ Passport and PIN Number of the applicant
• A certified copy of certificate of incorporation/registration;
• A certified copy of memorandum and articles of association/ constitution
• Copy of title deed or certificate of leasehold as proof of ownership land or proprietorship and a current certificate of search or other supporting documents.
• Names and address of Directors.
• Proof of Reliable source of clean water
• A letter of intent from an approved bank to give a guarantee.
• A bank guarantee worth between US$ 1,000,000 and US$ 12,000,000 or one and half times the Free on Directorate value of the coffee transacted on each particular case less the transaction cost, whichever is higher (after the Directorate approves the application).
• Undertaking to deduct and remit statutory levies based on the auction/declared value of coffee.
• Undertaking to deduct and remit growers’ obligations.
• Undertaking to furnish the Directorate with monthly marketing returns.
• Any other requirements that may be prescribed by the Authority from time to time Nursery Certificate in Ethiopia

• Any cooperative society, person, group or company who wants to deal or transact the business of commercial coffee marketing in Ethiopia is eligible to apply for a Commercial Coffee Marketing License

• Fee to obtain Commercial Coffee marketing license in US$ 500.

• The license is valid for the period of one year.
