Apply In-Person:

1. To obtain clinical officer Practice license the applicant has to contact clinical officer council offices contact link1 or the applicant has to approach Ministry of Health Ethiopia contact link2
2. The authority provides an application form. The Applicant has to fill-in all the necessary details in the application form.
3. Applicant must make sure to carry documents that are listed under “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals) or in the section Clinical Officers Council's Registration Requirements page link
4. Applicant has to attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form.
5. Payment of appropriate fees should be made as per the request of authority officer or in the Clinical Officers Council's payment details page link
6. After the verification of the documents is done the council will issue the license within 60days.
7. The applicant is intimated to collect the license once it is ready by receiving SMS or E- mail.
8. The Council has the power to refuse to register any person who has not complied with any of the provisions of the regulations, and the decision of the Council is final.

Those who pass the clinical officers council registration examination shall be approved to obtain a clinical officer practice license in any of the approved hospitals.

• Applicant must complete the application form before submitting. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
• Applicant must provide genuine information while applying for this procedure.
• The Council gives a practicing license to a qualified Clinical officer to practice both in public and private sector. Practicing license is renewable after 2 years. The renewal of the practicing license takes in to consideration CPD points and observation of professional standards and ethics.

All clinical officers who have completed three years institutional training of their basic course in Ethiopia, are required to undergo one year of internship in an approved hospital.
