Apply In-Person:

1. Application for changing a business name in Ethiopia is available in Ethiopian Ministry of Trade and Industry (MoTIn) contact link
2. Applicant has to enter all information that is mentioned under “Required Information” section of this page.
3. Applicant must make sure to carry all documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Applicant must have both photocopies and originals of the required documents.
5. Applicant must attach photocopies of documents (whichever is required) along with the application form while submitting.
6. There is no fee for this procedure.
7. If all above-mentioned procedures were followed properly, applicant can get their business name changed within 3 days.
8. The applicant can confirm the name change by visiting the office and getting the document after 3 days.
9. If the application is rejected, the applicant has to undergo the application procedure from the beginning.
