Apply In-Person:

1. The application form for getting a permit for the above-mentioned procedure is available in the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs contact link
2. Applicant should fill-in all the necessary details in the application form.
3. Applicant must carry all the documents that are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page (Both Photocopies and Originals).
4. Applicant should attach the photocopies of the documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form.
5. The fee must be paid as per the request of the authority.
6. If the applicant followed all of the above-mentioned procedure properly, then, the document will be issued within 60 working days.
7. If the applicant didn’t get the permit within two months, then, they can visit the office to know the status of their application.

• Any foreigner who is residing in Ethiopia.
• Any foreigner who enters Ethiopia with an immigrant visa with in thirty days of his arrival.
• Any foreigner who enters Ethiopia with a business or student visa and intends to stay for more than ninety days with in thirty days from the date of his arrival.

• Payments are not payable abroad.
• Supplementary benefit is for wife and children under eighteen (18) years.

• The most common older persons grant in Ethiopia is the Ethiopian Social Security Agency which has the rights and obligations of the which is re-established under Proclamation No. 49512006 .which involves benefits like full pension, 2.5% of average earnings during last 3 years for each of first 20 years of contribution, plus 2%for each year of contribution in excess of 20.
• Minimum pension, 96 dinars a month and maximum, 80% of average earnings.
