Apply In-Person:

1. Application for an Exemption Permit is available in the Main Department for Immigration and Nationality Affairs contact link
2. Applicant must enter all necessary information requested in the application form.
3. Documents that are needed for completing application procedure are listed under “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Applicant must carry both photocopies and originals of all those documents while applying for this procedure.
5. Attach photocopies of documents along with the application form (whichever is necessary).
6. This process can be done free of charge.
7. If all necessary information is provided along with the needed documents, applicant can get their entry permit within 14 days by visiting the office or via post.

This permit is issued to any person or class or descriptive of persons who are exempted in Ethiopia for obtaining a work permit in Ethiopia.
